"We need to get her inside," Erris agreed, startled, as he followed Fanth, "As soon as she wakes up we should give her something to drink since she's probably dehydrated." Walking beside Fanth, Erris felt a bit useless at the moment. He should have been more insistent. It would be nice if he could at least run ahead and maybe prepare some moist towels to bring the weyrwoman's temperature down or get a couple cups of water ready but he couldn't do that either because he didn't know where anything was at Daliath. "Just tell me if you need any help." Erris offered finally, his smile having disappeared from his face.

Emillyn caught Amarith's full attention as soon as she hit the ground. The massive dragon turned, shifting so that she could get a better view of her rider, her Emillyn. A new kind of panic began to set in, crawling from the farthest depths of Amarith's startled mind- no dragon ever wants to lose their rider and sun stroke is several steps to close to that as far as the queen was concerned. Fanth's voice. Amarith stopped, the frightened whirling of her large eyes slowing to the color of curiosity tinged with worry, and watched the young man with his sun-soaked hair carried her rider indoors, away from the dangerous heat. 'You'll be alright.' the dragon told her rider in a cautious tone, reinforcing something that she both believed and faintly doubted. How could anything be alright after everything that had happened to Daliath.
Brenan glanced up at the anxious dragon before quickly following Fanth. Stepping as lightly as possible on the churning sand, Brenan forged ahead and quickly yanked the stiff door open. Staring down the dismal hall, Brenan was relieved by the sigh of cool air that sank from the open doorway. This was bound to help Emillyn recover or at least it would help more than staying outside in the heat.
As for Emillyn herself, she, of course, didn’t react at all to this occurrence because she was out cold. Had the weyrwoman been awake though, there is no doubt she would have insisted on walking back into the weyr herself, even if she had to lean on someone to manage it.
